We are looking for 3+ PQE Family Law Solicitor to join our busy and friendly team at the head office in Thame, Oxfordshire. The role works together with two senior solicitors, a paralegal and a legal secretary in the team to ensure the smooth and effective running in the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior fee earners in the department with incoming instructions and will need to be confident in handling own caseload
• Advising clients and handle own caseload including direct contact with clients on Family matters such as divorce and dissolution, financial remedy cases, child matters, cohabitation agreements, etc.
• Correspond with clients appropriately and manage clients’ expectations
• Handle billing and invoicing of clients and assist in credit control
• Attend court hearings when necessary
• Drafting documents and correspondence
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years PQE experience
• Must have a proven track record acting for clients in divorce, financial remedy and private law children cases
• Must have past experience in handling a caseload of private family matters including:-
• Divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships
• Financial remedy
• Financial provision for children and separation agreements
• Cohabitation agreements
• Nuptial Agreements
• TOLATA
• Contested Children Act proceedings
• Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
• Able to work as part of a team but also independently
• Attention to detail is essential
• Fully competent with MS Word and experience in case management system is a plus
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
• Must use own initiative regularly and be proactive
