We are on the hunt for a Regional Broking & Placement Director to implement and deliver the regional placement strategy, with a clear focus on improving income leverage with insurers.

As a Regional Broking & Placement Director you will be responsible for implementing the placement approach for the region, based on the overarching Advisory platform strategy and driving its delivery across the region, through the Regional Directors and their teams.

Some of the responsibilities of this role include;

  • The primary focus of this role is the delivery of the local regional placement plans based on the overarching Platform strategy ensuring it meets the agreed strategic direction, divisional requirements and meeting the needs of our clients
  • Effective internal stakeholder management with Regional Director and Branch Directors and their teams to ensure they are aware of Platform, divisional and regional strategy and assist in the alignment of these in their day-to-day business operations
  • External stakeholder management of our Insurer account managers, sharing pipeline information and ensuring that issues raised have effective quality improvement action plans for resolution and thereby preserving productive relationships
  • Review on an ongoing basis suitability of our products and proposition in line with the current market, future trends and changes and our current and future competition
  • Ensure the region has adequate systems and controls in place to manage the placement related risks to the firm and to comply with the firm’s obligations under the Ardonagh Accountability Framework
  • Inspire and motivate your small, focussed regional placement team and collaborate with the Regional Directors to drive the delivery of the divisional placement strategy through the Regional teams
  • Through the placement strategy, help enable the region to deliver the agree regional budget on both revenue and EBITDA

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven track record of managing teams to devise a forward-thinking placement strategy to deliver revenue targets within a regulatory framework
  • Demonstrable experience in management roles within insurance
  • Stakeholder management typically to ExCo-2/ExCo-3 level and strong communicator, including negotiation, contracting, consultancy, facilitation, influencing, presentation and communication skills
  • A well organised individual with core skills in time management, organisation, prioritisation, and an ability to manage multiple issues and challenges at any given moment
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with teams and stakeholders across the business at all levels
