Role Responsibilities
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Operate plant and process equipment safely, efficiently, and in line with all site procedures and environmental standards
- Take responsibility for the operation and isolation of equipment within the assigned area
- Monitor processes, record operational data, and respond to abnormal conditions or alarms
- Carry out first‑line troubleshooting and support safe start‑ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance at all times
- Proactively identify equipment or process deficiencies, support root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective actions
- Escalate issues appropriately and work collaboratively with Shift Managers, Engineers, and other functions
- Actively support continuous improvement and shared learning across the site
We are looking for experienced candidates with:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant technical or vocational discipline
- Experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or process‑based industry is strongly preferred
- Trade skills or prior experience in COMAH or highly regulated environments are advantageous
- Comfortable working shifts and operating within a unionised, pay‑for‑job framework
- Strong commitment to safe working practices
- Effective team player with clear communication skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision and make sound operational decisions
- Practical problem‑solver with a proactive mindset
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop new skills
