Meter Reader

Want a job where you’re out and about, not stuck behind a desk?

South West Water is looking for a Meter Reader to join our team in Exeter.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £26,914 plus great benefits.

About The Role

As a Meter Reader, you’ll travel around the Exeter area (EX1–EX12) reading water meters. This helps make sure customers are billed correctly.

What You’ll Do

• Read and record water meters accurately
• Speak with customers and provide good service
• Plan your day and travel routes efficiently
• Complete your daily meter reading targets
• Report any faulty meters or issues you find
• Keep your van and equipment in good condition
• Follow health and safety rules at all times
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK driving licence
• Friendly and confident speaking to customers
• Able to work alone and outside in all weather
• Good organisation and ability to meet targets
• Basic computer skills
