South West Water is looking for a Meter Reader to join our team in Exeter.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £26,914 plus great benefits.
About The Role
As a Meter Reader, you’ll travel around the Exeter area (EX1–EX12) reading water meters. This helps make sure customers are billed correctly.

About The Role

- Read and record water meters accurately
- Speak with customers and provide good service
- Plan your day and travel routes efficiently
- Complete your daily meter reading targets
- Report any faulty meters or issues you find
- Keep your van and equipment in good condition
- Follow health and safety rules at all times
- Full UK driving licence
- Friendly and confident speaking to customers
- Able to work alone and outside in all weather
- Good organisation and ability to meet targets
- Basic computer skills
