Our Active Outdoors Assistant role is all about giving people a warm welcome, sharing practical information and offering helpful advice for people to enjoy their day, their way. You'll support outdoor activities during Summer of Play, you’ll play a key part in making sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Salary: £20,670 pro rata (FTE £25,837.50 per annum)
Contract: Fixed term contract until 13-Sep-2026
Hours/ working pattern: Part-time, 30 hours per week
This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

What you'll be doing:Your job is all about creating the best possible experience for everyone. You’ll chat to people to understand their needs and offer relevant advice, while also keeping an eye on safety and maintenance. It’s in your hands to help as many people as possible to enjoy their time in the countryside in whatever way they’d like to. There will be the opportunity to lead activities if you wish as well as support trusted providers in a range of sports, circus, and craft events.
