Job Description

  • Healthcare Assistant
  • Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, NE21
  • Pay Rate: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
  • Shifts. Part time Days | Monday – Friday | Shift times vary

Meet Our Client We are seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an 18-year-old young man with complex clinical needs. Support will be delivered in the home, within the community, and during school transport routines.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will provide person-centred care, clinical support, mobility assistance, and help with daily living activities. You will play an important part in promoting his comfort, safety, and overall wellbeing while supporting him to lead a fulfilling and enjoyable life.

He enjoys music, sensory lights, television, and spending time in the community. He is sociable and responds well to people who are friendly, engaging, patient, and attentive. Building positive interaction and meaningful connection is a key part of this role.

We are looking for individuals who are calm under pressure, confident in their abilities, proactive in their approach, and able to communicate clearly and effectively. You should be dependable, compassionate, and committed to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will be able to build trust and rapport, support independence wherever possible, and contribute positively to a supportive and respectful care environment.

What You’ll Need

  • 3 months’ care experience
  • Confident with medication, personal care, moving and handling
  • Clear communication skills
