As an Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be taking your first steps into a career in design engineering—learning, growing, and figuring out how you add value to the team, your role, and our product. You’ll support Senior Engineers and be accountable for completing assigned work to a high standard, while soaking up knowledge like a sponge. We’re looking for curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to get stuck in.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Support the development of electrical systems from early concept stages through to testing ready for production.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, such as, test requirements, and design documentation supporting material.
  • Help to assemble and test prototype systems in our on-site facilities, capturing lessons learnt and exploring how the products can be improved.
  • Capture and document decisions, learn, explore and absorb new technologies to help build a better product.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers to review and validate design work.
  • Contribute to concept discussions and reading of supporting material to absorb design information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date design data using established processes.
  • Take part in team design reviews and contribute constructively to continuous improvement.
  • Observe and learn from cross-functional experts working with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and cooling systems.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Marine electrical background with minimum of 2 years industry experience, completed an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience working with 3D CAD systems is advantageous but not critical.

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.*
