Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waste Management Porter based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What You Will Do

The role of the Waste Management Porter is the safe uplift and removal of all waste streams (clinical, domestic, cardboard, recycling, sharps boxes, etc ) collection of dirty linen throughout the Hospital on a daily basis, to comply with the National Waste Strategy for Scotland and the Audit Scotland Waste Management Report 2005- 2006 and Special Waste Amendments Scottish Regulations 2004 (SS1 2004 No112)

The Postholder Will

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Be numerate and literate
  • Have good communication and practical skills
  • Hold a full Driving Licence

Hours

29.60 hours over a working week, Monday Sunday 0700 hours - 2100 hours.

A degree of flexibility is required to cover annual leave and sickness.

Driving Licence/Car Ownership

A car licence is essential to this role.
