We’re recruiting two new Trustees to join our Board One parent/carer of a young person with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) One parent/carer of an autistic young person
What difference will you make?
Being a Trustee with Bamboozle means joining a friendly, welcoming board that meets just four times a year—either in person in Leicester or online via video call. You’ll be involved in conversations about the charity’s direction, helping ensure our work is shaped by those who know first-hand what matters most.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for to recruit two new Trustees with experience in the following areas Primary criteria that must be met one parent/carer of a young person described as having PMLD. one parent/carer of an Autistic young person. Secondary criteria – we will give preference to the following areas an individual of Asian/Asian British/Black/Black British/Mixed Background. an individual with artistic experience. Trustee Role Description Trustees are volunteers, and as such no payment can be made for their services as a Trustee. Trustees must be aged 16 or above. Trustees meet 4 times per year, ideally in person in Leicester, with the ability to join meetings via online video calls as an option. Trustees must help Bamboozle to obey the law and meet its charitable aims. Trustees act as ambassadors for Bamboozle, helping to advocate for the work we do. Trustees do not need to have previous experience of being a Trustee, Governor, or Director. Trustees should be honest, and ready to make decisions that act in the public interest. Trustees should be happy to give reasons for how they reached decisions and must be sure that they are acting in a way which does not discriminate against others. Trustees must not seek to gain any benefit for themselves through their role.

At Bamboozle Theatre Company, we create transformative experiences for learning disabled and autistic young people through immersive theatre, creative learning and family projects. Our work reaches children who are often unheard—and we’re determined that their families’ voices are heard at every level of our organisation. That’s why we’re recruiting two new Trustees to join our Board—and we’re especially looking for One parent/carer of a young person with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) One parent/carer of an autistic young person You don’t need to have been a trustee, director, or governor before. In fact, no previous board experience is required. What matters to us is that you Bring insight from lived experience Care about inclusive, accessible creative work Are open, honest, and supportive of other Want to contribute to the future of a values-led charity
