About The Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands the way real people in Wales speak? We're working with leading AI research teams to capture authentic Welsh English speech — and we need professional voice actors to bring it to life.
This is a paid contract recording role for voice actors and voice-over artists based in Wales. You'll participate in short, structured studio sessions designed to capture natural, human-sounding conversation. This project does not involve voice cloning — your voice is used to help AI understand speech, not replicate it.

This is a paid contract recording role for voice actors and voice-over artists based in Wales. You'll participate in short, structured studio sessions designed to capture natural, human-sounding conversation. This project does not involve voice cloning — your voice is used to help AI understand speech, not replicate it.

- Session Format: In-person professional studio recording
- Session Length: 4 hours per session (2–3 sessions total)
- Record natural, conversational Welsh English speech in a professional studio environment
- Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings
- Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and natural
- Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery across takes
- Bring your authentic Welsh accent to recordings that will train AI speech systems
- A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with relevant experience
- A native or near-native Welsh English speaker — your accent is the key qualification
- Currently based in Wales
- Comfortable performing natural conversation and dialogue in a studio setting
- Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction
- Fluent in English to a working level for on-set communication
- Background in acting, theatre, or performance
- Prior experience in broadcast, podcast production, or professional studio recording
- Comfort with both scripted and improvised dialogue styles
- Contribute to cutting-edge AI research projects with leading research labs
