An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a team supporting the specialist business support functions and the development of adult social work within the integrated Health and Social Care service.

NHS Highland is seeking to recruit a Transactions & Income Administrator to work within the existing Residential Payments Team, supporting the processes which ensure the accurate and timely payment of care providers and collection of service user care cost contributions.

The successful person will be part of a team of administrators liaising with care providers, service users and families, together with internal NHS Highland functions. Alongside responsibility for recording information in a timely and accurate manner, the role provides a focal point for advice and assistance for financial matters related to services provided in residential care settings. This sits alongside of other, general administrative duties and responsibilities.

To be able to successfully carry out the role, candidates will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate with and support vulnerable people in an empathetic, confident and patient manner. Maintenance of a high level of confidentiality is vital in all aspects of the role. Evidence of a wide range of office administration and clerical experience, plus good Microsoft Office IT skills must be provided. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong numeracy and literacy skills. Effective team working is required but there is also a key need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
