Felix House is a 24-hour residential mental health service with nursing input, supporting up to 11 adults with enduring mental health needs. Our service is rooted in a recovery-focused, trauma-informed approach, empowering individuals to build the skills, confidence and resilience needed to move towards more independent living.

Our aim is to create a safe, supportive and empowering environment where individuals can progress at their own pace and prepare for greater independence.

About the Role
This role involves working a mixture of shifts, including earlies, lates, nights and weekends, as part of a 24-hour service. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support.
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Put the people we support at the centre of everything you do, promoting choice, dignity and independence
- Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Support individuals to develop daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal care and maintaining a home
- Encourage engagement in meaningful activities both within the service and in the community
- Monitor and support mental and physical wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning
- Assist with medication administration (full training provided)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, families and external agencies
- Access in-house development opportunities, including IT skills, life skills, relaxation techniques, healthy living and wellbeing activities
- Build and maintain relationships with family and friends
- Engage in community-based opportunities such as volunteering, employment skills, creative activities, and social groups
