Prestige Nursing East Lancashire are seeking a dedicated and experienced female support worker to support a male service user in his late 30's with an Acquired Brain Injury.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced support worker to support R, a 39-year-old male with an Acquired Brain Injury following a road traffic accident. R lives independently in his own home with 24/7 assistance from a team of support workers. This role requires a compassionate, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join and support a team of support staff, ensuring R's needs are met with the highest standards of care.
Pay: £15.33 – £22.99 per waking hour*
Shifts: 0900-1800, 1800-2200 + Sleep, or 0900-0900 (24 hour shift including sleep)
Key Responsibilities
– Assist R with daily tasks, ensuring timely and efficient support.
– Implementing and monitoring Positive Behavioural Support strategies to encourage positive outcomes.
– Supporting R in completing therapy programmes.
– Utilising CPI training, Positive Behavioural Support techniques and reinforcement to manage challenging behaviours and ensure R's emotional well-being.
Requirements
– Experience in an equivalent role within health and social care.
– Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries and challenging behaviours.
– Excellent organisational, and communication skills.
– Full driving license is essential as R's support may involve driving his vehicle.
