Role summary: DBD International is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Planner to join our Mission Delivery capability. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of major programmes within the nuclear sector, supporting complex and high-profile projects across Defence, Decommissioning and New Build environments.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality project planning and scheduling support across a portfolio of projects, working closely with project managers, technical teams and clients to ensure effective project execution and delivery.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing, maintaining and managing integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Supporting project teams throughout project execution to ensure effective planning, monitoring and control of activities
  • Producing and maintaining baseline schedules, progress updates, critical path analyses and forecast plans
  • Identifying schedule risks, constraints and potential delivery impacts, supporting mitigation and recovery planning where required
  • Supporting the coordination of project resources, workload planning and delivery priorities
  • Preparing and consolidating project reports, milestone tracking, schedule analyses and project controls information
  • Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and clients to support successful project delivery
  • Supporting planning activities across multiple projects within a complex and regulated environment
  • Ensuring planning activities are delivered in line with company procedures, standards and client requirements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across planning, scheduling and project controls activities
  • Supporting bid and proposal activities, including development of schedules and delivery strategies where required

Formal qualifications or training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong experience in Project Planning, Project Scheduling or Project Controls
  • Experience working within the Nuclear industry or another highly regulated sector
  • Strong Primavera P6 scheduling experience
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within integrated project teams
