- Support teachers in delivering engaging, creative and personalised learning experiences.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their individual goals.
- Encourage pupils' communication, independence, confidence and social development.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with the planning, implementation and review of individual support plans and learning activities.
- Prepare classroom resources and help create stimulating learning environments that inspire curiosity and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals to provide consistent, holistic support.
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and pupil wellbeing.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Patient, compassionate and committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
- A positive team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Adaptable, resilient and able to respond confidently to individual pupil needs.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN or relevant SEN qualifications are beneficial, but not essential – we'll provide training and support to help you succeed.
- Willing to learn, develop and work towards further professional qualifications.
- Holds a Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable).
- Committed to completing all relevant induction and mandatory training.
