Our client, a prestigious secondary school located in Loughborough, Leicestershire, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-time SEN Science Teacher to join their dynamic team. As a Full-time SEN Science Teacher, you will be responsible for providing exceptional educational experiences for students with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Your role will involve designing and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring that they are able to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the SEN curriculum and the latest teaching methodologies, as well as a demonstrated commitment to inclusive education. You will be expected to collaborate closely with a team of dedicated SEN specialists, including teaching assistants and therapists, to develop and implement personalised learning plans for each student.
In addition to your classroom responsibilities, you will be required to actively participate in the school's extracurricular activities and events, fostering a sense of community and belonging among the students. This may include organising and supervising educational trips, leading after-school clubs, or assisting with school-wide initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong academic background in science, with a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant subject. You must also hold a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, and have experience working with SEN students in a secondary school setting.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to work closely with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for your students. You should also be able to demonstrate a keen interest in continuous professional development, as our client is committed to supporting the growth and development of their teaching staff.
