What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting children and adolescents with mental health and behavioural needs as a school mental health assistant.
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions focusing on emotional literacy, trauma recovery, and resilience
- Working closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs, and external agencies (e.g. CAMHS, social care)
- Applying psychological theories in real-time to help manage behaviour and promote positive change
- Observing and tracking progress, contributing to behaviour and support planning
- Has a degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related subject
- Understands trauma-informed care, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), or behavioural psychology
- Is passionate about early mental health support and safeguarding
- Wants practical experience ahead of a career in mental health, education, youth work or probation
- Is a reliable, empathetic presence able to build trust with vulnerable student's
