The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Transformer business as a Sales Manager. You'll be responsible for sales and tendering of Transformers in the UK for the Distribution Network Operators. The role is to maximize Hitachi’s market potential and opportunity. Visiting potential clients to secure business, agreeing scope of works and supporting in the design of transformers to bring best value to ensure GTS, preparing costings and ensuring continual update of Hitachi’s sales and marketing tool with visit reports and opportunities.

You'll be responsible for sales and tendering of Transformers in the UK for the Distribution Network Operators. The role is to maximize Hitachi’s market potential and opportunity. Visiting potential clients to secure business, agreeing scope of works and supporting in the design of transformers to bring best value to ensure GTS, preparing costings and ensuring continual update of Hitachi’s sales and marketing tool with visit reports and opportunities.
How You Will Make An Impact
- You will support our Transformer Tendering Engineers in the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy, you will oversee allocated sales and tendering activities to drive sales and increase market share.
- Take ownership of GTS (Global Target Setting) and MIMO Market Insight, Market Outlook reporting each year.
- Develop growth plans in line with the business requirement.
- Interfacing with the Market Manager, tendering, operations and technical team in each factory to ensure fit to business capabilities and maximize opportunities to better Client expectations.
- Communicating effectively across multiple areas within the business.
- Proven experience working within Sales and Tendering
- Experience of working within a transformer factory environment/sales area to succeed in this role.
- Understand the full potential of our technology and the trends in our markets is highly rewarding.
- Experience in helping customers all over the world improve efficiency, save resources and reduce emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose.
