Job Description
ROV Supervisor – Remote Operations Centre
Do you want to join our Geo-data revolution? Fugro’s global reach and unique know-how will put the world at your fingertips. Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and efficiently. But we’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us. For bright minds who enjoy meaningful work and want to push our pioneering spirit further. For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.
About Us
We’ve launched our innovative Uncrewed Service Vessel (USV) department that leverages cutting-edge technology to minimize our carbon footprint and promote sustainability. Our USV team operates primarily from our new Remote Operations Centre in Aberdeen, supporting a variety of exciting projects.
The Role
We are looking for skilled ROV Supervisors to oversee asset integrity projects in our Remote Operations Centre and pilot our electric Remotely Operated Vehicles (eROVs) installed on USVs across Europe and Africa. This role is based at our Remote Operations Centre in Aberdeen.
As an ROV Supervisor, you will understand the project scope and contractual implications to ensure effective mission planning within the operating room. This involves providing clear communication, supervision, and direction to your team. You will support, train, and mentor ROV Pilots, and deliver effective safety management and communications through toolbox talks and shift handovers.
What a Remote And Uncrewed Career Offers
This role offers a unique opportunity to cross-train and expand your expertise with the latest technology. You will engage in diverse and groundbreaking projects, be at the forefront of the industry’s transition to remote and autonomous technology, and access extensive career and training opportunities both nationally and globally. You will enjoy a stable onshore working environment while being part of this exciting transition.
Additionally, you'll benefit from guaranteed earnings for 180 days each year and if you reside near Aberdeen, you'll have the added perk of returning to the comfort of your own bed every night after work.
Who We’re Looking For
We seek individuals with previous experience as an ROV Supervisor and experience of inspection-class ROV operations. Candidates should have nationally recognized technical or trade qualifications in electrical, electronics, computing, or mechanics, and the flexibility to work shift patterns up to 4 weeks in length.
We recognize the value of diverse perspectives and are actively seeking candidates from a variety of backgrounds. We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring new perspectives to our team and contribute to our culture of inclusivity.
What We Offer
Fugro fosters a positive work environment and offers projects that will challenge and satisfy the most curious minds. We provide ample opportunities for personal and professional growth, encouraging you to bring your energy, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas. Join us to be part of a diverse, driven team that is leading the way in Geo-data specialisation.
We offer extensive training and career development opportunities both nationally and internationally, a competitive salary with an attractive compensation package including a contributory pension scheme, private medical cover, life insurance and the option to lease an electric car.
Bring your passion and curiosity to Fugro, and help us revolutionise the way we understand and interact with our planet.
Our view on diversity, equity and inclusion
At Fugro, our people are our superpower. Their variety of viewpoints, experiences, knowledge and talents give us collective strength. Distinctive beliefs and diverse backgrounds are therefore welcome, but discrimination, harassment, inappropriate behaviour and unfair treatment are not. Everybody is to be well-supported and treated fairly. And everyone must be valued and have their voice heard. Crucially, we believe that getting this right brings a sense of belonging, of safety and acceptance, that makes us feel more connected to Fugro’s purpose ‘together create a safe and liveable world’ – and to each other.

Fugro does not accept any unsolicited applications from recruitment agencies. Acquisition to Fugro Recruitment or any Fugro employee is not appreciated.
