As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and sales teams by ensuring smooth logistics operations and providing excellent service throughout the shipment process. You will act as a central point of contact, proactively engaging with customers and coordinating internally to deliver efficient and reliable solutions.

How you create impact

  • Provide operational support to Freight Account Managers and the wider sales team.

  • Organize shipments and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution.

  • Monitor pre-bookings and proactively engage with customers to ensure efficient planning.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general customer enquiries.

  • Provide proactive updates to customers and address shipment issues when they arise.

  • Manage exceptions by identifying and resolving issues quickly, escalating when necessary.

  • Prepare quotes and identify opportunities to support account growth.

  • Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and support overall branch operations

What we would like you to bring

  • Secondary school education or equivalent.

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining accountability for individual responsibilities.

  • A proactive mindset and problem-solving approach.
