Position

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CANDIDATES INTERNAL TO NHS AYRSHIRE & ARRAN ONLY.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Management Support Assistant based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This is a fixed-term or secondment opportunity until 31st August 2026.

What You Will Do

The Risk Management Team in NHS Ayrshire & Arran are looking for a Risk Management Support Assistant to join their friendly, dedicated and supportive team.

Working very closely with our Risk Management Advisors, Significant Adverse Events Coordinator and Risk System Coordinator, you will support them with work including maintaining the quality and content of data held within our Risk and Significant Adverse Event information systems, being our initial point of contact for staff across the organisation who have risk related queries, and provide administrative and secretarial support to the teams. You will also support the coordination and administration of all requests for Acute Services Unplanned Activity Funding and develop and deliver training sessions to staff groups across the organisation, in relation to reporting, reviewing and finally approving Adverse Events.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

  • HND or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Have previous experience of working in a busy office
  • Evidence of applying risk management principles and continuous professional development
  • Have experience of developing training sessions and ideally delivering them, in a related/similar field
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365 software
