What’s the Opportunity

Due to the continuing success of our wider project management team and our ongoing expansion, we have an opportunity for a driven individual aspiring to progress their career within our team.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

  • Lead in allocation of actions, tracking, monitoring and reporting project progress
  • Take complete responsibility for some of our smaller projects and support senior colleagues as you gain experience on our major programmes of work
  • Update contractual milestones in project systems
  • Ensure the document and project management plans are set up
  • Follow up the project progress and inform the main stakeholders if there is any deviation
  • Communicate time recording instructions to all employees

The skills and experience you need to have for this role

  • Ability to support to manage projects, programmes and portfolios from inception to close out. You will demonstrate:
  • Proficiency of using Microsoft Office
  • General awareness of NEC suite of contracts
  • Good communication skills
  • Health & Safety competence such as CDM & CSCS Card (can be attained on joining)

Additional Experience That Would Be Beneficial Includes

  • Consultancy construction project management experience
  • The ability to lead a series of projects and manage client relationships
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and similar digital software
  • Knowledge of project management plans
  • Previous experience of working on civil engineering schemes
  • Working with Environment Agency related projects
  • Basic understanding of Design management
  • Experience of working client side or as consultant

Qualifications

  • Diploma/BSc/MSc in project management
  • You will ideally be working (or considering to work) towards achieving one of the qualifications below):
  • MRICS
  • MCIOB
  • MAPM
  • PRINCE2

To be a successful Project Manager you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in the office and on-site, whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and exhibiting the ability to be a proactive and passionate team player.
