The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be working within a team to the lead the delivery of both standard and complex projects within an exciting fast paced environment. Our projects align with digital engineering and the integration of new and modifed technologies into existing platforms. In this role you will have the opportunity lead the delivery of highly classified projects, making a tangible difference to national security.
Day-to-day, you’ll be influencing and aligning other people towards the visions of projects whilst both empowering and inspiring other people to achieve success within.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. It is dedicated to research and development, ensuring that complex systems are designed, integrated, and tested effectively to meet operational requirements. The facility utilises sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Identifying, planning and implementing actions to positively engage parties driving both interest and influence towards project outputs
- Developing and maintaining positive engagement with project customers, partners, suppliers and stakeholders
- Delivering project outputs to an agreed baseline such as; customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales
- The application of governance requirements for the foundation of sales and delivery work including lifecycle, project and independent reviews
- Business development and being able to identify, qualify, develop and deliver solutions to customers articulating the benefits of QinetiQ solutions
- Negotiation & conflict management and Human resource management
- Previous experience delivering multiple projects
- The ability to identify, qualify, develop and deliver solutions in support of business development
- Previous experience managing complex projects
- APM qualified or another comparable PM qualification
- The successful candidate must be willing to undergo DV Clearance
