The Role

As our Product Marketing Lead, you'll define how one or more of Zopa's most important product domains show up in the market, shaping the positioning, propositions and go-to-market strategies that drive meaningful customer and commercial impact.

Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, you'll be a trusted strategic partner to Product Directors and senior leaders across Marketing, Growth, Design, Content and Communications. You'll own product marketing strategy across a complex product area, helping shape product direction long before launch while raising the bar for product marketing across the business.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who loves combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll be equally comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, defining compelling customer narratives and rolling up your sleeves to bring brilliant products to market.

What you'll be doing

Shape product strategy

  • Own the end-to-end product marketing strategy for a complex product domain or portfolio, aligned to business objectives and product strategy.
  • Define clear positioning, value propositions and messaging frameworks that scale across products, features and customer journeys.
  • Bring a data-led customer perspective into product strategy discussions, helping shape roadmap priorities and commercial decisions.

Partner across Product and Design

  • Build deep partnerships with Product Directors and Design Leads to ensure our products are marketable by design.
  • Collaborate on feature concepts, propositions and customer narratives before development begins.
  • Help teams navigate trade-offs between customer value, differentiation, complexity and speed.

Lead go-to-market

  • Own high-impact product launches from strategy through to execution, defining the go-to-market approach rather than simply delivering it.
  • Partner with Growth, Performance Marketing, CRM, Brand & Creative and Communications to deliver joined-up, customer-first campaigns.
  • Think beyond launch, building engaging customer experiences throughout the product lifecycle.

Raise the bar

  • Act as a role model within the Product Marketing team, sharing frameworks, coaching others and driving best practice.
  • Improve how we use customer insight, experimentation, performance data and learning to continually strengthen our marketing.
  • Champion Product Marketing as a strategic discipline across Zopa, influencing senior stakeholders through clear thinking, compelling storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.

About you

You'll probably have experience of:

  • Product Marketing within a product-led, customer-centric business, ideally in fintech, financial services or another B2C environment.
  • Owning product marketing strategy across complex products or portfolios, rather than individual launches.
  • Developing clear positioning, compelling propositions and customer-focused messaging.
  • Working across the full product lifecycle, from early product shaping through to go-to-market and post-launch optimisation.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior Product and Marketing leaders and influencing strategic decisions.
  • You combine commercial thinking with customer empathy, enjoy working cross-functionally and thrive in fast-moving environments where you can make a real impact.

No everyone ticks every box — and that’s absolutely fine. If this sounds like your kind of role, and you think you’ve got what it takes to thrive here, we’d love to hear from you.

At Zopa we value flexible ways of working.

We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.

You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.

  • Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice

Diversity Statement

Zopa is proud to offer a workplace free from discrimination. Diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to better products for our customers and a unique company culture for our people. We are made up of nearly 50 nationalities, have a DE&I forum made up of Zopians wanting to make a difference and we are proud of our culture where everyone can bring their full self to work. Our approach to DE&I is reflected in our hiring process so please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments.

Our approach to AI in interviews

At Zopa, AI isn't something we're testing out — it's part of how we work every day. As a proud partner of Jobs 2030 , we're committed to building AI fluency across our workforce, and we expect Zopians to use AI as part of how they do their jobs.

Because of that, we want to be transparent about how we think about AI use during our hiring process.

Behavioural and competency-based interviews: please don't use AI . These conversations are designed to understand you — your experiences, your judgment, and how you've approached real situations. An AI-generated answer can't tell us that. What it can do is get in the way of us finding out whether we're the right fit for each other.

Technical interviews: it depends on the role. Some technical stages actively welcome AI use, others don't. Your Talent Partner will let you know what's expected at each stage. Where AI is part of the assessment, we'll be interested not just in the outcome, but in how you used it – the tools you chose, your reasoning, and the decisions you made along the way.
