About the role We are recruiting dynamic, compassionate and enthusiastic pharmacy assistants to join our healthcare teams in Forth Valley Prisons. The post holder will have previous experience in a pharmaceutical setting. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will have the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate they are ambitious and a committed individual, supporting the development of a modern and innovative healthcare service.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing pharmacy support to a complex and vulnerable population.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Work autonomously while maintaining high standards of care.

Support the development of a modern and innovative healthcare service.

Serve a rotating roster where required and be willing to travel throughout the area of service delivery.

Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a pharmaceutical setting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work autonomously.

Commitment to a modern and innovative healthcare service.

Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Benefits and Working Conditions As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

NHS Forth Valley may be able to offer sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria.
