- Bank weekly parish donations and oversee donation records
- Process and remit payments, manage invoices and receipts
- Perform end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Record all transactions using Xero accounting software
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Maintain and manage the PACEM system (training can be provided)
- Administer the Parish Thanksgiving/Stewardship Program
- Coordinate and support volunteers responsible for counting weekly donations
- Provide financial and payroll support as directed by the Parish Priest or Parish Accountant
- Attend meetings and complete other finance-related tasks as required
- Supports and respects the Catholic mission of the parish
- Demonstrates strong integrity, confidentiality, and ethical practice
- Shows initiative, problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset
- Has strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Communicates clearly and works well within a collaborative team
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Has a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xero
- Experience in bookkeeping, including managing A/P and A/R
- Familiarity with PACEM (desirable; training can be provided)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check
- Valid Driver Licence
