We are one of the UK’s leading commercial painting and decorating contractors, and are currently recruiting for a qualified Painting & Decorating Supervisor in and around the Glasgow area due to increased workload.

Please note that successful applicants will be required to undergo Disclosure Scotland screening. Any offer of employment will be subject to the satisfactory completion and successful clearance of this process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily communication with the Contracts Manager regarding project progress, highlighting any issues or potential risks.
  • Ensure all work carried out meets high standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Monitor and manage projects to ensure delivery within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress reports and relevant updates to the Contracts Manager.
  • Oversee the management, allocation, and safe use of all equipment, ensuring it is issued only to appropriately trained operatives alongside relevant risk assessments and method statements.
  • Deliver weekly Toolbox Talks, addressing key topics including health & safety, operational updates, and training requirements.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven supervisory experience, supported by certifications such as IOSH, SMSTS/SSSTS, and First Aid.
  • SQV/NVQ qualification (or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS card (Gold level or above).
  • Relevant trade experience gained post-NVQ qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer care and service delivery.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • High level of professionalism and understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
