We are looking for an experienced Personal or Executive Assistant to provide high-quality executive support to three of our Directors.

You will act as a key point of support to the Director of Regulation, Director of Risk and Regulatory Oversight, and Director of IT, liaising effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders on their behalf to ensure priorities are managed and business activities are delivered to schedule.

Other regular duties include:

  • Receiving and assessing incoming mail, responding directly to routine matters and directing other queries elsewhere as needed.
  • Acting as focal point and filter for incoming calls and visitors.
  • Attending meetings and committees to produce minutes, diarise meetings and schedule follow-ups.
  • Maintaining the diary schedule for all Directors and arranging meetings, as well as necessary travel and accommodation arrangements.

Alongside these core duties, there will also be opportunities to assist in the:

  • Management and communication of Events and PR activity.
  • Completion of specific internal projects.

It is vitally important for the successful candidate to be able to act quickly, work self-sufficiently and be able to make their voice heard and challenge where appropriate.

You will need to be confident in building rapport with colleagues across the business and present a professional but friendly first point of contact to anyone who needs to contact the Partner.

What we’re looking for

  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE level (English/Maths at A*-C) or equivalent.

  • Significant experience as a Personal/Executive Assistant or other similar role, preferably within Financial Services or another regulated industry.
  • Experience in producing presentations for high level meetings.
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, Financial Services and investments would be beneficial.

  • Adaptable: ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to accuracy and taking note of all relevant information.
  • Communication Skills: Both written and oral, to provide an excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • IT Skills: Confident user of Microsoft Office as well as specialist software packages.
  • Organisational Skills: Well organised and able to see tasks through to completion.
  • Proactive: Able to work effectively within a team and autonomously.
  • Professional: Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters.

What does the future look like?

Redmayne Bentley provides support for colleagues to achieve industry standard CISI qualifications, if that is something they wish to do.

Typically, our administrators would start on the Level 3 Investment Operations Certificate, which provides them with a deep understanding of our industry, FCA regulations and how our firm operates. This can then act as a pathway to further qualifications, such as the Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma.
