The Role

This field-based role covers the Staffordshire area, offering the opportunity to engage with customers daily while making a real difference. You'll be provided with a company vehicle, comprehensive benefits package, and the support of a business that genuinely cares about its people and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately collect water meter readings from customer properties across the region
• Complete all assigned meter reading schedules within the month to ensure compliance with Guaranteed Standards Scheme (GSS) requirements
• Ensure meter data is recorded correctly and updated on company systems
• Engage professionally with customers, answering queries and providing excellent service
• Identify and report unusual consumption patterns, potential leaks, and faulty or damaged meters
• Recognise and appropriately support vulnerable customers where required
• Represent South Staffs Water and Cambridge Water in a professional and positive manner
• Work efficiently to complete daily schedules while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer satisfaction
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a field-based team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording information
• A flexible, adaptable approach and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Previous field-based experience is beneficial but not essential
