Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Youth Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP). Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support, helping each student develop self-esteem, achieve personal targets, and foster a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEMH needs
  • Implement behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement personalized support plans
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is preferred
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the unique needs of each student

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
