Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officer

We are recruiting to a key Mental Health Commissioning and Review Office role within Adult Social Care, to work with adults of working age across Mental Health Social Work services and the AMHP Hub.
About the role
As a Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officer, you will:
Provide a person centred, statutory social work service for the most vulnerable adults and their carers in accordance with local and national policies and procedures.- Adopt a person centred and strengths-based approach to meet the individual needs of people with lived experience when completing statutory reviews of care packages.
Actively support and participate in the development and implementation of integrated, multi-disciplinary working.
Take a key role working with partners to safeguard adults through the effective management of risk and the recording and sharing of information.
Take a key role in assisting the Team Manager and Advanced Practitioner with respect to the delivery of social care commissioning and reviews of care packages.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a credible and experienced person who:
- Will possess a recognised Social Work Qualification; Degree, CQSW, CSS, Dip SW or equivalent and hold a current registration with Social Work England.
Have experience of working with adults/older people, including prior experience working with individuals presenting with mental health conditions.
Have a good understanding of how key legislation relates to the Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officer role, particularly the Care Act (2014), Mental Health Act (1983, as amended) and Mental Capacity Act (2005).
You must clearly evidence an understanding of the principles and values underlying the Care Act (2014), Mental Health Act (1983, as amended), Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other relevant legislation.
Previous experience assessing social care needs and commissioning packages of care in line with the Care Act 2014 and s.117 Mental Health Act.
