Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cardiology Team within Wrexham Maelor Hospital . The post holder will be required to provide an accurate, confidential and supportive secretarial service to the department, processing patient letters, communicating with patients and other members of staff to maintain safe patient pathways.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the delivery of a comprehensive high quality medical secretarial administrative service as part of a team, providing cross cover during periods of staff absence and managing/prioritising workload to ensure the provision of all secretarial and administrative duties to support the Consultant/Clinical team.
Excellent written and communication skills, together with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines are essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
- RSA /OCR level 2 or equivalent experience (must be a proficient user of Microsoft word)
- IT related qualification CLAIT plus /ECDL or equivalent
- AMSPAR – City & Guilds L3
- NVQ Customer Service L3

- Knowledge of a range of administrative processes
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Experience of typing
- Experience of working within the NHS
