Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse who is ready for a challenge, the East Site Colorectal Nursing team is seeking a highly self-motivated practitioner, with a desire to promote and develop clinical excellence in clinical practice. The successful post holder will join an established Colorectal Nursing team and provide nursing support to inpatient / outpatient areas.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to deliver patient care complementary to that offered by Doctors and other health care professionals within the field of Colorectal Care as part of a multi disciplinary team. The successful post holder will act as part of the colorectal care nursing team and support point both in-patient and out-patient services to ensure patients receive appropriate management/treatment, aide their pathway and contribute to decreased length of stay.
The post holder will work collaboratively as a member of the Colorectal team to ensure both elective / emergency patient receive holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of their care needs.

- Specialist Knowledge and experience in Cancer and speciality.
- Experience of service development
- Able to perform clinical skills relevant to the speciality.
- Experience of undertaking research and audit
- Post registration experience at Band 6.
- Experience and able to utilise all Microsoft packages including Excel, SharePoint
- Experience of managing and interpreting highly complex communication situations and sensitive information e.g. breaking bad news
- Experience of multi-professional working
