Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician, Sr will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and operational integrity of heat treatment furnaces in compliance with NADCAP AMS2750 standards. This role involves ensuring that all the furnace equipment operates efficiently, safely, and within specified temperature uniformity requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furnace maintenance, pyrometry, and quality assurance / calibration processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furnace maintenance, pyrometry, and quality assurance / calibration processes.
Responsibilities
- Calibration and Compliance:
- Manage / Schedule / Conduct - Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Testing (SATs) to ensure compliance with NADCAP AMS2750 requirements.
- Maintain records of calibration activities, including temperature profiles, equipment settings, and maintenance logs.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure all processes meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Interface with key suppliers to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment.
- Help develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibration results, and compliance with NADCAP standards.
- Prepare reports for management on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to production teams regarding furnace operations and maintenance issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for furnace operations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance furnace efficiency and reliability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to heat treatment and NADCAP compliance.
- Safety and Training:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures in the maintenance and operation of heat treatment equipment.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of heat treatment processes and furnace operations.
- Good knowledge in Calibration process and procedures.
- Good organisation and record keeping skills.
- Ideally have knowledge of NADCAP requirements and quality management systems.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to high temperatures and industrial machinery.
- Ability to work in a changing environment
