Date: 13 hours ago
City: Grimsby
Contract type: Full time
Join us in this role where you’ll play an important role in ensuring successful safe, compliant, and commercially attractive outcomes from our management of the Operations and Maintenance Agreements (OMA). You will have a wide range of responsibilities including ensuring internal and external owners of the windfarms understand their asset’s performance, gain technical approval and budget for necessary work, and contributing to initiatives that improve performance across a range of aspects. As well as representing Ørsted Operations in front of the wind farm owners, in this role you will directly contribute to the commercial success of our OMAs and the performance of our windfarms.

Welcome to UK OMA Management

You’ll be part of UK Generation Commercial where you, together with your colleagues, will take up the challenges and responsibilities of delivering on our OMAs. You will have a wide range of internal stakeholders and will be working closely with the regional Generation functions and other commercial functions within UK, the finance departments, and your OMA colleagues in other regions. This is a significant opportunity for exposure to both operational aspects of offshore wind, to external partners, and to senior leadership within Ørsted. As a team, we believe in trust as a main driver for both results and teamwork. Key to delivering on our responsibilities is always the result of several Ørsted teams working together. The OMA Business Manager plays a key role in ensuring this collaborative environment.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • implementing processes to deliver compliant OMA services to the wind farm investors
  • shaping how we collaborate and integrate across domains of expertise to drive value on the world’s largest fleet of offshore wind farms
  • serving as the representative for our operations business units towards external investors and internal customers, providing updates on all operational activities
  • performing financial oversight of the OMAs, including budgeting, cost recording, billing, and reporting
  • communicating operations and asset performance effectively to investor stakeholders via reporting and high-quality engagement
  • Proactively and continuously identifying ways to maximise the value coming from the OMAs
  • role modelling safety and ensuring that safety is integral to how we work.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a passion to understand the commercial, financial, technical and operational aspects of an offshore wind farm
  • have a strong track record of managing complex commercial contracts and relationships incl. direct engagement with senior decision makers and external customers
  • have prior experience from offshore wind or a relevant industry such as power generation or transmission, management consulting, energy, technology, etc.
  • have a passion for integrating multiple internal teams to drive effective and creative solutions for the wind farms
  • possess effective communication techniques, analytical skills, welcome challenges, be perseverant, commercially minded, and curious
  • have a master's degree for example in business administration, economics, engineering

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

Please note that you’re expected to do some travelling in relation to your work, as you’ll visit our operating sites most months and will need to travel occasionally between our offices in London and Copenhagen.
