Job Title: Instrument Pipefitter

Project: P66 E&I

Location: Immingham

Duration: 12 months

Start Date: 20/07/26

Rate: basic - £23.25 p/h

Worley is currently recruiting for an Instrument Pipefitter for fixed term contract with the potential to extend long term for the right candidate

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our E&I Projects Team based on P66 Humber Refinery

Key aims and objectives:

You will be expected to understand and follow process instrumentation diagrams (PID’s), instrument layout diagrams, hook-up diagrams and isometric drawings.

Install instrumentation, valving, pipe works and supports in accordance with manufacturers specifications and good industry practice.

Duties likely to be centred around knowledge and capabilities regarding the following:

  • Fractional and metric stainless steel, carbon steel and copper tube - cut bend & thread as required.

  • Compression fittings (single and twin ferrule).

  • Pneumatic components, tubing and fittings.

  • Hydraulic components, tubing and fittings

  • Installation, maintenance, modification and testing of the above components will form an essential part of your role

Role Requirements:

  • Prime responsibilities will include working safely in accordance with site and company rules at all times.

  • Carry out all work in accordance with vocational training and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statements.

  • Report all near misses, dangerous occurrences, safety observations and inappropriate behaviour of others to line management.

  • Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the instrument piping work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.

  • Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches. Mark up completed SoW documentation to ‘As Built’ Status.

  • Undertake site-based training to become a nominated person (NP) for permit acceptance

  • Assist with compiling Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.

Qualifications - Internal

All candidates should hold the following Qualifications & certification:

· Current CCNSG Safety Passport

· Proof of apprenticeship (indentures etc)

· NVQ 3 or equivalent (SVQ/C&G L3/JIB)

  • ECITB SBT or equivalent (TSBT01 & 02, Swagelok, Waverley Brownall)

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Demonstrate commitment to working safely at all times
  • Flexible – able to comply with company and client requirements
  • Ability to work/assist with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment
  • Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative
  • Has a desire to learn and develop within the role.
