About The Role
We are seeking a passionate Java Engineer to join one of our agile squads in the Insurance Retail family. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver, maintain, and support key CDL products, including projects focused on cloud migration and infrastructure improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to shape scalable cloud solutions while contributing to the roadmap of some of the UK’s most prominent insurance platforms.

About The Role
We are seeking a passionate Java Engineer to join one of our agile squads in the Insurance Retail family. Responsibilities
- Deliver, maintain, and support backend Java-based CDL products
- Collaborate on cloud migration projects using AWS
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
- Adhere to TDD practices and ensure high-quality automated unit and integration testing
- Embrace DevOps principles and support CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to product enhancements in line with the delivery roadmap
- Collaborate within Agile squads and promote knowledge sharing
Essential:
- Strong Java development experience
- Solid experience with AWS and cloud-based delivery pipelines
- Proficiency in unit and integration testing (TDD)
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
- Automated testing experience
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Exposure to React and TypeScript
- Working knowledge of GitLab and Kibana
