Gentex is a global technology company with a reputation for engineering excellence and innovation across demanding and highly regulated markets. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sales Director – EMEA to lead the commercial strategy and growth of our Industrial Safety business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Reporting to the VP – Industrial Safety, this senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the regional sales strategy, driving profitable revenue growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and strengthening Gentex's market position across a portfolio of advanced industrial safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the EMEA commercial strategy, aligning regional objectives with global business priorities and delivering sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Lead business development initiatives to identify and secure new markets, applications, customers, and strategic partnerships while strengthening existing relationships.
  • Drive commercial performance across direct sales, distributors, OEMs, and channel partners, ensuring revenue growth, market expansion, and margin improvement.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, distributors, industry bodies, and other strategic stakeholders, acting as a trusted ambassador for Gentex.
  • Own sales forecasting, pipeline management, pricing strategy, budgeting, and commercial planning, using data and market insight to inform decision-making and deliver results.
  • Provide Voice of the Customer (VOC) and market intelligence to influence product strategy, innovation, and go-to-market planning.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver integrated customer solutions and support successful product launches.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent Gentex at executive customer engagements, exhibitions, trade associations, and industry forums, enhancing the company's reputation and identifying future growth opportunities.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an accomplished commercial leader with significant experience selling technical or engineered products into industrial B2B markets. They will have a proven ability to define and execute commercial strategy, deliver profitable growth through complex sales cycles, and develop long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.

Equally comfortable in the boardroom and in front of customers, they will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to business development, major opportunities, and team leadership. They will possess strong commercial and financial acumen, use market insight and performance data to inform decision-making, and have the credibility to influence stakeholders across a global matrix organisation.

Experience leading high-performing teams, collaborating across multiple business functions, and operating in international markets will be essential.

You will bring:

  • A successful track record of delivering profitable sales growth across EMEA within industrial or technically complex B2B markets.
  • Experience developing and leading distributor, OEM, channel partner, and key account sales strategies.
  • The ability to identify new market opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships and driving sustainable business growth.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and margin optimisation.
  • Demonstrable experience setting and executing commercial strategy within a global or matrix organisation.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
  • A collaborative approach and the credibility to work effectively across Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain functions.
  • A data-driven mindset, using market intelligence and sales analytics to inform strategy and improve performance.
  • The flexibility and willingness to undertake regular international travel.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced commercial leader to shape the strategic direction and growth of Gentex's Industrial Safety business across the EMEA region while playing a key role in its long-term success.

At Gentex, we don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community.
