Hours of Work 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday and 7am - 3pm on Friday

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a HSE Officer for a growing manufacturing company based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

The Role

You will be reporting to the Head of Operations.

The Health, Safety and Environment Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organisation.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues, department managers, and employees across all levels of the organisation to develop and maintain the company's health, safety and environmental requirements and objectives.

Duties

  • Develop and Implement HSE Policies and Procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities
  • Conduct Safety training for employees
  • Investigate incidents and accidents
  • Maintain records for Health and Safety
  • Emergency plans and Procedures
  • Internal and External auditing
  • Compliance and Reporting

Skills/Knowledge

  • At least 3 years in a similar role within the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with employees, managers and external contacts.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and prioritising workload efficiently.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with Google Suite would be an advantage.
