Summary:

Are you able to shape and lead the delivery of large scale, complex recruitment campaigns?

Do you have a background in recruiting technical talent?

If so, you will be a vital component in leading high-volume and complex recruitment campaigns, particularly those associated headcount growth for AMP8.

This will involve developing and implementing tailored recruitment delivery and stakeholder engagement plans to ensure the timely acquisition of talent requirements.

By collaborating with HR leadership and senior management, this role will also create and implement resourcing strategies and pipelines that align with the company's strategic objectives and people plan.

Additionally, the HR Resourcing Specialist will need to stay informed about industry trends and market changes to provide the best possible hiring solutions and a seamless applicant experience.

This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to be extended or made permanent.

Main Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the planning and execution of high-volume or complex recruitment campaigns (specifically those related to AMP8), ensuring the fulfilment of delivery targets, management of stakeholder expectations, and mitigation of potential risks
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle to guarantee a smooth and efficient process for all stakeholders
  • Partner with HR leadership and hiring managers to clearly understand hiring requirements and determine the best course of action
  • Create and implement comprehensive talent sourcing strategies using various methods, such as social media, professional networks, and direct approaches (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches)
  • Develop and implement attraction strategies to enhance employer brand and ensure access to top talent
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide expert advice and guidance throughout the hiring process, including working with hiring managers to define essential and desirable requirements, develop recruitment plans, and provide regular updates on candidate progress
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and oversee agency performance
  • Develop and implement robust selection methods, including advanced interviewing techniques and assessment tools, to ensure sustainable and high-quality hiring outcomes
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage talent pooling to reduce costs and improve hiring efficiency
  • Monitor macro and micro market developments and industry trends to inform hiring strategies and optimize the use of internal resources
  • Ensure accurate and timely management of open positions and applicants through all stages of hiring, maintaining all recruitment data and software (e.g., Workday)
  • Stay informed about current legislation, regulatory commitments, and social attitudes to ensure best practices and corporate social responsibility
  • Implement inclusive recruitment practices to attract a diverse candidate pool and ensure fair and equitable selection processes, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout

You’ll need:

  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience
  • Proven senior-level experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of the end-to-end recruitment cycle
  • Demonstrable success in developing and implementing talent sourcing strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and advise
  • Experience in proactive candidate sourcing through various channels, including social media, professional networks, and advanced search techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of robust selection methods, advanced interviewing techniques, and assessment tools
  • Excellent planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Familiarity with professional networks, CV databases, and social media platforms for recruitment
  • Understanding of candidate tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and resilient approach

It will be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience using Workday as an HR and recruiting platform
  • Insight into emerging AI technologies and selection tools
  • Knowledge of recruiting contractors/contingent workers
  • Experience in utilities, construction, scientific, engineering, or similar infrastructure business

up to £42,000 depending on experience + bonus
