Salary: £19.06 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role
Middlesbrough College is seeking an enthusiastic Volleyball Coach to deliver high-quality coaching and support to student athletes within the College's Volleyball Academy.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging training sessions, support competitive fixtures, and contribute to the development of players across technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of performance.
The role also includes promoting the academy, developing links with local clubs and junior pathways, and supporting the recruitment and progression of talented athletes to help sustain the College's success at local, regional and national levels.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality volleyball coaching to student athletes.

Plan, deliver and evaluate coaching programmes throughout the season.

Tailor coaching sessions to meet technical, tactical, physical, social and psychological development needs.

Support players competing in local leagues, AoC College League fixtures and National Finals.

Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Contribute to the development and growth of the Volleyball Academy.

Develop links with local clubs, schools and junior pathways.

Support the recruitment and progression of talented student athletes.

Promote the academy and represent Middlesbrough College positively.
Essential Qualifications
-
Level 2 Volleyball Coaching Qualification or working towards.

Experience coaching young people aged 16 to 19.
-
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications
- Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake an appropriate teaching qualification upon appointment.
Essential Experience
-
Experience planning, delivering and evaluating coaching programmes across a full season.

Experience tailoring sessions to support technical, tactical, physical, social and psychological development.

Experience supporting players competing in local league, AoC College League and National-level competitions.

Experience developing individual players, teams and the wider sport.
Desirable Experience
- Teaching and/or training experience.
