We have an exciting role on offer within our Resident and Business Support service as an Accounts Receivable Advisor.

We’re looking for a proactive and driven Accounts Receivable Advisor to join our busy, high-performing team, where your work will directly support the Council’s income and the services we deliver to our community.

As part of the Accounts Receivable team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring invoices are raised accurately and income is collected efficiently. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll manage the full debt recovery cycle, from raising sales orders and issuing debtor notices to progressing cases through legal action, including bankruptcy where required.

You’ll bring a professional, customer-focused approach while confidently handling challenging situations and delivering results.

You’ll bring experience from a customer-focused environment, with confidence handling both inbound and outbound communications. You will have: -

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer environment
  • A proven track record in debt recovery and achieving outcomes
  • The ability to manage a varied workload and perform under pressure
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine team spirit

You will handle enquiries from members of the public, external partners, and colleagues, seeing each case through to resolution while maximising income collection at every opportunity.

Experience within an Accounts Receivable or similar financial environment is highly desirable.
