Head of Health & Safety - #193525
Victorian Plumbing
Date: 7 hours ago
City: Skelmersdale
Contract type: Full time
Are You Ready to Take the Lead on Safety?
Are you a Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can make a real splash? Do you want to lead the safety strategy for a fast-paced, multi-site group that’s already making waves in the bathroom industry?
We are looking for a Head of Health & Safety to join our team, and frankly, we’re looking for someone who can help us keep things watertight.
The Role
This isn’t your average H&S role. We’re moving beyond "checking boxes" to embedding a world-class safety culture across our entire business—including Victorian Plumbing, MFI, and Sovereign Logistics.
As our new Head of Health & Safety, you will be the independent voice of safety at the leadership table. You’ll be responsible for taking our safety standards from "leaky tap" to "perfectly sealed." You’ll empower our team to deliver, provide senior-level challenge where needed, and ensure that our people go home safe every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing
At our core, we’re a business that’s growing fast. We’re ambitious, we move quickly, and we really value the people who make it all happen. You’ll be joining a team that takes safety seriously, but knows how to have a bit of fun along the way.
We offer the opportunity to truly own your function, drive meaningful cultural change, and play a pivotal role in our continued success.
Ready to jump in?
If you’re the safety expert we’ve been searching for, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and let’s make sure we’re firing on all cylinders!
This role is Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 40 Hours Per Week with mobility across our group locations

What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll define and implement a group-wide strategy that covers everything from our corporate offices to our logistics hubs.
- Your mission is to proactively reduce RIDDOR and Serious Incident rates. We need someone who can spot a hazard before it even has a chance to drip.
- You won’t just be in the background; you’ll be partnering with our CEO and the Group Leadership Team to ensure safety is woven into the DNA of our business.
- You will lead, coach, and develop our Health & Safety team, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to maintain high standards.
- You’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights, reporting directly to the Exec Team.
- A Leader: You’ve held a senior H&S role in a complex, multi-site environment and you know how to navigate the pressure.
- The Go-To Expert: You have a deep understanding of UK H&S legislation. You know your stuff inside and out.
- A Strong Communicator: You can influence at the highest levels and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo when safety is at stake.
- A Culture-Shifter: You’re not just about policies; you’re about people. You’re passionate about building a proactive, positive safety culture.
- Qualified: You hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). This is a must-have for the role.
