The Role
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Operational Managers, you'll support the commercial management of several projects and learn how to:
- Assistin the preparation of valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs,budgetsand profitability.
- Maintain records of costs, variations, programmechangesand project performance.
- Support subcontractor procurement,administrationand account management.
- Help prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and CVRs.
- Learn and apply NEC and JCT contract principles.
- Attend project meetings with clients,subcontractorsand internal stakeholders.
- Assistinidentifyingcommercial risks and opportunities across projects.
- Support tendering activities and pricing exercises.
- Contribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or due to graduate this year).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ambitious,proactiveand eager to learn.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office packages.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previousplacement year, internship or work experience within construction,utilitiesor civil engineering.
- Basic understanding of NEC or JCT contracts.
- Interest in water,infrastructureor civil engineering projects.
