Position

The role of the Data Processor is to assist the Data Team to ensure that data processing progress meets the project specifications with no or minimum interruption. This role will provide workflows, proposal content, costing and internal Data Management services to the regions.


Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Line planning and Quality Control (QC) for proposals.
  • Assist with processing data from acquisition to final product.
  • Help with work involved in project preparation in collaboration with the Data Team.
  • Ensure project requirements are fulfilled on all deliverables under the supervision of the Data Delivery Manager.
  • Ensuring that processing routines are continuously reviewed concerning efficiency and quality.
  • Actively communicate with project management, to ensure data acquisition meets project requirements.
  • Ensure the processing logs are properly utilised.
  • Work within the Project group to assist with reporting.
  • Participate in Sulmara’s internal equipment and software development.
  • Produce mobilisation and calibration results, data deliverables, and report contents.
  • Assist with decisions regarding deviations to the daily workflow and/or final product, in consensus with the Data Delivery Manager.


Skills Requirements

  • Use of SonarWiz, Caris, Qimera, Kingdom Suite or Oasis Montaj.
  • Understanding of database concepts and software.
  • Advance skills in Excel.
  • Present interpretations in report format.
  • Synthesise technical specifications to apply to project scopes.
  • Strong analytical thinker and process-driven individual.
  • Ability to cope with challenging deadlines..
  • Self-motivated, pro-active approach.


Experience, Competency And Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Science, GIS, or related field.
  • Relevant practical experience related to Data Processing within offshore geophysical work either in processing or acquisition.
  • Knowledge of office processing of Multibeam, Sidescan, Magnetometer or Seismic data.
