HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About This Opportunity

The Transport business is undergoing significant transformation, modernising customer platforms while navigating major industry changes, including the transition to electric vehicles and evolving market conditions.

As part of the Planning & Performance Reporting team, you'll help deliver the insights, reporting and planning that support strategic decision-making across Transport and Retail Finance. It's a great opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, influence business outcomes, and gain exposure to a fast-changing and highly visible area of the business!

What you’ll be doing:

The role includes:

  • Communicating the narrative of the business’s performance and assisting in projecting future business results through the planning process.
  • Delivering insightful, high-quality month-end reporting, ensuring robust controls, and serving as a specialist in management accounting.
  • Developing a broad network of contacts across Finance, with collaboration between teams being crucial to your success in this role.
  • Meeting individual and team objectives while investing in your personal development by improving your skills and capabilities.

Why join us?

If you think all banks are the same, you’re wrong. We’re a pioneering, fast-changing business that’s shaping finance as a force for good. If you’re after a role where you can have an impact and do the best work of your career, you’ve just found it.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified or in the final year as an accountant (ACA or equivalent experience, ACCA, CIMA).
  • 12 months or more experience analysing performance and explaining drivers in movement with senior colleagues.
  • 12 months or more experience maintaining strong financial control at the core of finance activities.
  • The ability to demonstrate continuous improvements achieved to current processes, illustrating curiosity and the ability challenge the status quo.
  • A high collaborator who enjoys engaging with people from various areas.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Experience in Planning/Budgeting in a Business Context.
  • Experience in Monthly Performance Reporting.
  • Financial Services background.
  • Confidence in using Excel/PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you

We want to ensure all our candidates have the opportunity to shine. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make the sure the assessment process works for you.

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
