Meadow Foods are looking for a hard working and reliable Packing Operative to join the team at our Chester Site. As a Packing Operative, you’ll play a pivotal role in our production process, ensuring seamless operations and maintain high standards Meadow Foods is renowned for. Working Hours
This role operates on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern with early shifts starting from 6am to 6pm and late shifts from 6pm to 6am.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and maintain machinery for various production processes from butter production to canning operations, box making, bag in box and filling heads.
· Conduct sampling and testing of products to uphold quality standards.
· Complete necessary documentation, including HACCP and production records.
· Execute cleaning in place (CIP) procedures and maintain equipment hygiene.
· Collaborate with our engineering team by reporting faults promptly and accurately.
· Uphold a clean and hygiene production environment, adhering to our clean as you go policy.
· Actively participate in identifying areas for improvement and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
· Work towards achieving department key performance indicators and objectives.
· Adhere to company policies and procedures, always ensuring compliance.
Person Specification
· Collaborative team player, thriving in a small team environment.
· Previous experience in a food factory environment preferred,.
· Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
· A positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
· Flexibility to world various shifts, including nights, weekends and holiday cover if required.
