Description

Advanced Supply Chain Group offer a complete end-to-end supply chain service, from source to shelf, covering all aspects of supply chain management, global logistics, fulfilment, and value-added services, allowing our customers to maximise the opportunities that exist in today’s technology-enabled marketplace. Using our unique intelligent supply chain model, we design innovative solutions to complex challenges, unlock new opportunities, and speed up and streamline existing processes by removing complexity from the supply chain. It all adds up to providing a service that is “Better, Faster, Cheaper” than our competitors.
Our core values drive everything we do. We believe in promoting a supportive environment for our colleagues, delivering exceptional service to our customers, contributing to the community, and working towards a more sustainable environment. If you share these values and are passionate about making a positive impact, we'd love to have you on our team

About the role

As our Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from planned preventative maintenance to the reactive fixes that keep a fast-moving operation on its feet
No two days are the same. One day you might be managing planned works through our CAFM system, the next you’re troubleshooting a reactive issue, supervising contractors working with external auditors . You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Facilities Manager and connect with people at every level of the business, so if you like variety, solving problems and seeing the real-world results of your work, you’ll thrive here
Based flexibly across our Sheffield and Bradford sites with regular attendance at other group sites, this is a hands-on, get-stuck-in role with plenty of scope to make it your own.
  • Looking after our CAFM system and keeping planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on track

  • Staying on top of reactive works, reviewing and updating entries, prioritising what matters most, and escalating anything tricky to the Facilities Manager

  • Supporting the Facilities Manager day to day, coordinating meetings and flagging anything that needs a closer look

  • Keeping our documentation clear, consistent and up to date across the Teams sites, in line with our templates and guidelines

  • Overseeing site waste management, including the occasional ad hoc job and keeping site equipment in good shape

  • Lending a hand with new site openings, which may mean the odd bit of travel or an overnight stay

  • Supervising contractors and making sure work is done safely and to a high standard

What we need from you

  • Experience in facilities management and a good understanding of the relevant regulations

  • A full driving licence and the flexibility to travel - you’ll be out and about visiting sites to manage contractors, support audits and back up the team

  • A solid grounding in general engineering

  • Experience of a fast-paced, agile warehouse environment

  • A good handle on health and safety statutory checks

  • A general working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Flexible and proactive, happy managing your own priorities in an organised, methodical way

  • Driven, with a genuine can-do attitude

What we offer

At Advanced, your journey begins with a warm welcome and a comprehensive onboarding experience designed to set you up for success from day one. But it doesn't stop there—we’re committed to your continuous growth, offering ongoing training and development to help you sharpen your skills and reach your full potential.
We understand the significance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance, which is why we offer a hybrid working model for our office staff.
We know that time to recharge is essential for your wellbeing. That’s why, in addition to your 25 days annual leave, we offer the option to purchase additional days—giving you flexibility to take the breaks you need. And because we love celebrating our people, you’ll get your birthday off, completely on us - enjoy your special day, work‑free!
We believe that family matters, our enhanced maternity package offers six months of full pay, giving you the time and peace of mind to focus on your growing family. New dads and partners also receive two weeks full paternity pay, so you can be there for those important first moments.
Planning for your future has never been easier—or more rewarding. Through our salary sacrifice pension scheme, meaning you pay less tax overall, while still investing in your future.
You’ll be joining a team where collaboration, openness, and support are part of everyday life—because great work happens when people feel connected and inspired
