Job Description

We are looking for experienced and ambitious PSV Engineers to join Arriva, based at our Durham Depot.

As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA.

  • £16.82-£18.95 DOE
  • Full-time, permanent contract - 39 hours per week
  • Shifts 5 out of 7 including earlies and lates and weekends.

The Role Will Involve

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
  • MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
  • Attending roadside breakdowns


  • Requirements

    • Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)
    • A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
    • Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
