Join us as an Industrial Electrician. You’ll be responsible for carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults, and completing scheduled maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll develop your commercial and/or industrial experience with assets such as electrical control panels, motor testing, level control equipment, instrumentation, and inverters.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As our new Electrician you’ll be working and travelling between our water and wastewater assets on various contracts across the UK. You’ll work in Central region from Lincoln to Bedford.

Some Of The Other Key Accountabilities Are

  • Ensuring that unsafe electrical installations are managed safely to minimise risk - whilst identifying the problem and taking remedial action as required.
  • Advising the associated area manager and supervisor of any existing or new electrical installations that are unsafe or that do not meet current regulatory or industry best practice standards.
  • Providing accurate and detailed reports to enable contractors to cost any larger remedial works required.
  • Maintaining site standards to food-grade level and ensuring your knowledge is up to date with current regulations and requirements.
  • Operating and maintaining the highest health and safety standards in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

In exchange, we’ll provide a company van and fuel card to allow you to start work from home. We’ll also invest in your personal development by providing CompEx training that, once passed, qualifies you for an additional allowance.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

As a minimum, we’re looking for an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline, transferable skills from other industries, and a full UK Driving Licence. Having your 18th Edition alongside experience in carrying out electrical inspection, installation, and testing in a commercial and industrial setting would be highly desirable.

Additionally working with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes, and general mechanical/electrical plant would also be advantageous.
